Lucas Oil Speedway booth at Man Show Expo to feature WR1 iRacing simulators, Late Model car

By Lyndal Scranton (Wheatland, MO) -- Fans will get their first opportunity to try out new WR1 Sim Chassis custom built for Lucas Oil Speedway and loaded with iRacing during the 9th annual KOZL Man Show Expo this Friday and Saturday at The Expo Center in downtown Springfield.

The Man Show Expo is billed as "cooler than a car show and better than a trade show ... two days dedicated to all things man" with wings, beer, BBQ, electronics, hot rods and 4x4s and much more.

Included in the "much more" category are the WR1 Sims at the Lucas Oil Speedway booth, where fans can check out the iRacing units that will be part of the Midway Experience this season at Lucas Oil Speedway.

Late Model driver Tucker Cox's car also will be at the booth, where fans can meet officials from Lucas Oil Speedway and pick up free 2020 schedules along with other giveaways, plus sign up for a chance to win race tickets.

"We're excited to see the fans at The Man Show Expo and want to invite them to stop by and see us, check out the iRacing simulators and see Tucker Cox's car," Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Danny Lorton said. "The simulators are really fun and I think people of all ages, who are curious about iRacing, will really enjoy them."

The Man Show Expo goes from 3-9 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are $10 at the door with women and kids 12-and-under admitted free with a man.

WR1 Sim Chassis, owned by Chad Wheeler and based in Oklahoma, is one of the premier providers of custom-built racing frame rigs for the booming iRacing and esports industry. A number of NASCAR stars are huge proponents of Wheeler's WR1 simulators and participate in online races.

The Lucas Oil Speedway season kicks off with the Open Test and Tune on March 28, with the Big Adventure RV Weekly Racing Series opening night set for April 4 with action in all four divisions - Pitts Homes USRA Modified, Ozark Golf Cars USRA B-Mods, Warsaw Auto Marine & RV ULMA Late Models and O'Reilly Auto Parts Street Stocks.

Season passes for 2020, along with gift cards which can be redeemed in any department of the speedway, are now available. Contact Admissions Director Nichole McMillan at (417) 282-5984 or email her at nichole@lucasoilspeedway.com for more information.
