Enter to win two-seater ride around Lucas Oil Speedway during Season Championship program
By Lyndal Scranton (Wheatland, MO) -- Fans who have wondered what it would be like to experience the thrill of speeding around Lucas Oil Speedway could get that opportunity to buckle up and find out.
At the Bill Roberts Chevrolet-Buick Season Championship Night Presented by KTTS on August 25, one lucky fan will get to take a ride in the Lucas Oil Two-Seater Late Model during intermission.
Raffle tickets will be sold that evening with the winning ticket drawn just prior to intermission. Tickets will be sold for $2 each, six for $10 or 12 for $20. Fans must be 14 years of age or older to participate and if the winner is 14-18 years old, a parental consent form has to be completed and a waiver form signed.
Lucas Oil Speedway Assistant General Manager Danny Lorton, a former driver himself, will give the winner a five-lap blast around the "Diamond of Dirt Tracks" for the memory of a lifetime.
"Bring your camera. It'll be a memorable experience for the winner," Lorton said. "It's a big question all summer long, 'How can I get a ride in the two-seater?' This will be a fun chance to do just that."
Class champions will be crowned in the Big Adventure RV Weekly Racing Series that night for the Pitts Homes USRA Modifieds, Big O Tires Street Stocks, Ozark Golf Cars USRA B-Mods and Warsaw Auto Marine & RV ULMA Late Models. It also will be Public Safety Appreciation Night as all Police, Fire and Rescue personnel will be admitted free with an ID.
Racing action at Lucas Oil Speedway resumes on Aug. 18 for TA/Petro Fan Appreciation Night Presented by The Ozarks CW/O-Zone. Fans also can look forward to food and drink specials all night long. The Pitts Homes USRA Modifieds will headline the action with a special 25-lap, $1,000-to-win feature.
