Inside Line Promotions – BURLISON, Tenn. (May 3, 2017) – Brandon Hanks is looking forward to tackling the Impact Signs Open Wheel Showdown this Saturday at Lucas Oil Speedway.

Hanks captured his first career win at the track during last year’s ASCS Red River Region and ASCS Warrior Region event.

“We had nothing but trouble at the track for the previous couple of years before it turned around last spring and we won,” he said. “I really like it there. It’s a great track and facility so hopefully our luck has been turned around following last year’s win.”

Hanks charged from seventh to second place during a heat race to lock into the feature redraw. He then pulled the No. 1 to start the main event on the pole.

“We had a great car and took advantage of a good pill draw,” he said. “I’m hoping this weekend we have another strong race car and draw another good pill.”

Hanks, who earned his first career ASCS Red River Region championship last year, enters this weekend leading the region’s championship standings.

He was slated to compete on Wednesday at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Ark., for the Bull Ring Outlaw Blitz with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series before the event was postponed for the second time this season.
