Bryan Hulbert – ELDON, Mo. (September 5, 2018) Coming off a tough weekend at the Lake Ozark Speedway 360 Nationals presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps, that included an 11th place finish on Saturday and a come from behind 14th place run on Sunday, Blake Hahn will be in action close to home this Saturday at Creek County Speedway.

“We’ve struggled at Lake Ozark for some reason, and actually, I thought we had something figured out on Saturday after the Heat Race, but just couldn’t get any speed the rest of the weekend,” commented Hahn. "For now, we're getting ready to race non-wing this weekend in Oklahoma before we start getting ready for the Hockett/McMillin in a couple weeks."

Drawing the pole of the first Heat Race on Saturday, issues arose as Blake fired the engine to build heat. Getting back to the Pit, the team discovered oil in their Schoenfeld Headers; leaving less than 20 minutes to swap engines.

“We barely got the engine changed for the Heat Race, and I was nervous not begin able to run Hot Laps with Brian Brown starting next to us, but we were able to get the Heat win. After that, we just struggled to grab the track.”

Drawing mid-pack in the opening Heat Race on Sunday, Hahn stayed steady in fourth, putting him deep in a Qualifier where he was able to climb from ninth to fifth.

“In the Heat Race, I just got out of sync when Wayne slid me, and that let Cornell get by. If I hadn’t done that, I feel like I could have had second easily then the Qualifier, we got the car rolling and got to fifth, but that still put us in the B-Main.”

Winning the B-Main, Hahn moved from 17th to 14th over the course of the 41-lap feature event.

“We just didn’t get the car tight enough. We knew the track was going to go away, just not as quick as it did, but overall it wasn’t a terrible weekend. Just need to keep working at it.”

Looking to this coming weekend, Hahn will will be in action Friday, September 7 at Red Dirt Raceway in Meeker, Okla. and Saturday, September 8 at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla.

“We’re excited for this weekend. I really enjoy getting to race non-wing and getting race so close to home is always a plus. Not only that, I get to race against my cousin, Matt Ward, who is the ASCS National Director. I haven’t been able to race with him in a long time, so it’ll be like our Micro days. Just have to keep from taking each other out,” commented Hahn with a laugh.

The 2018 season is Blake Hahn’s 16th year of racing. Starting in Jr. Sprints at the Tulsa Shootout, Hahn has progressed through the ranks with over 90 victories across Micros, Midgets, and Sprint Cars.
