Clark, Wiseley, Lacy, McSperitt, And Kilmer Find Victory In Creek County Speedway’s Return To Racing

Bryan Hulbert – SAPULPA, Okla. (May 23, 2020) Finally getting back to Saturday night racing at Creek County Speedway, several familiar names graced Victory Lane during the Memorial Day Weekend showdown.

Leading the charge was Kyle Clark who advanced five positions to claim victory in Champ Sprint competition. Mickey Walker grabbed second with Layne Himebaugh, Bailey Hughes, and Noah Harris making up the top five.

Modifieds saw Collin Wiseley set a strong tone as the Bixby driver started first and ended it just the same. Joe Wright made it to second from fourth with Brandon Dean moving to third after starting seventh. Jason Esmond and Kendall Schultz completed the top five. With a large field of Factory Stocks on hand, the driver to beat was Tyler Lacy. Racing sixth to first, Lacy was chased to the line by Ricky Bledsaw, Jimmy Owen, Robert Scott, and Bill Newton who made a run from 11th to fifth.

A familiar name atop the Mini Stocks, Kevin McSperitt, Jr. never looked back from his pole starting spot. Wesley Knebel grabbed second with Dee Denton, Kenny Grumadas, and Dearl Harrison making up the first five positions. Finally, the 600cc Modified victory belonged to John Kilmer with Frankie Bardaro and Derek Terry making up the podium. Chris Cary and Mike Grable filled out the top five.

The next event on the lineup for Creek County Speedway is a Thursday night special on May 28 as the Lucas Oil POWRi National Midget League invades for the Turnpike Challenge. Racing gets underway at 7:00 P.M. (CT). and includes POWRi Outlaw Micros. Admission is $20 for adults, with youth 6-12 admitted for $10. Kids five and under are free into the Grandstands.
