Inside Line Promotions – LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Oct. 10, 2019) – Robbie Price is eager to rebound from a tough weekend at I-30 Speedway during the 32nd annual COMP Cams Short Track Nationals presented by Hoosier Tires as he returns to Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour action.

Price will head to Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla., on Friday and Saturday for the Fall Fling.

“As a driver you have to have a short memory out there as you’ll likely have more tough weeks then great weeks,” he said. “I’m excited to put last weekend behind me and head back on the Tour. This place is a short track and I really like the smaller tracks, so it’s the perfect medicine following a tough outing.”

Price has had his fair share of learning experiences this year. Whether it has been harder competition, different track surfaces or new venues, every night has been a journey. This week will be no different as it will be his first visit to the quarter-mile oval in Oklahoma.

“This tour is a challenge and part of what makes it so is seeing different places throughout the year so I’m excited to get to yet another new track,” he said. “I feel like I’ve adapted well and I think I’m better off because of it. It’s going to be a fun weekend and I’m excited to see what we can do.”

While most of the season has been about learning, with only six remaining races on the schedule Price is starting to think about points. Price currently holds a narrow six-point advantage over the eighth-place driver in the ASCS National Tour championship standings.

“I try to not think about points during the year, but there is quite a big difference between the payout from seventh to eighth,” he said. “This late in the year you have to make every lap count and that’s what we’re thinking about heading in here. If we do what we’re capable of, that part will take care of itself.”
