Chappell, Wiseley, Bales, McSperitt, and Traster Close Regular Season At Creek County Speedway With Victory

Bryan Hulbert – SAPULPA, Okla. (September 14, 2019) Closing out the 2019 regular season Saturday night at Creek County Speedway, five divisions graced the clay of the famed quarter-mile with Zach Chappell topping action in OCRS Champ Sprint competition.

Chappell’s second win of the season at Creek County Speedway, the front straightaway was also graced by Collin Wiseley, who topped the Modified division for the first time in 2019. In Factory Stocks, the night’s glory went to Chris Bales for this second score of the season with Adrien Hickman atop the finish with the Mini Stocks for the first time this season. Junior Mini Stocks saw Lane Traster in Victory Lane for the first time.

With the final event of the regular season in the books, the final point’s tally to determine who is the best of 2019 found Noah Harris taking his first career championship in Champ Sprint competition. For the second time in as many years, Chad Davis was the man to beat in Modifieds.

Adding a seventh Factory Stock championship to his credit was Jimmy Owen with Wesley Knebel taking top honors in the Mini Stocks. Nigel Calvert is champion in the 600cc Modifieds with Larry Pense winning the Dwarf Car title. The newly formed Junior Mini Stocks was won by Blake Green.

While the regular season has wrapped, racing is not done at Creek County Speedway with the year’s biggest weekend of racing just a couple weeks away with the return of the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network along with USAC Wingless Sprints for the John Christner Trucking Fall Fling presented by James Hodge Ford on Friday, October 11 and Saturday, October 12.

Admission on Friday, October 11 is $20 for adults. Kids 10 and under get into the grandstands for free. Saturday, October 12 is $25 for adults. Again, kids 10 and under get into the grandstands for free. Both nights open at 5:00 P.M. with Hot Laps at 7:00 P.M. and Racing at 7:30 P.M. (CT).
