Kraig Kinser Captures Fifth-Place Finish at Hartford Speedway

Inside Line Promotions – WILMOT, Wis. (July 16, 2019) – Kraig Kinser recorded his third top-five finish of the season last Friday during the Battle of Michigan at Hartford Speedway.
Kinser kicked off the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series event by qualifying 14th quickest at the oval in Hartford, Mich. He gained a position in a heat race to place fourth, which lined him up on the outside of the fifth row for the main event.
“We got a good handle on the car and made progress in the heat race and feature,” he said. “Top fives is what we’re looking for so it was a good race.”
Kinser maneuvered to a fifth-place result, which is tied for his second-best run of the year.
The weekend wrapped up on Saturday at Wilmot Raceway during the Badger 40. Kinser timed in 14th quickest and dropped a spot to finish sixth in a heat race.
“Gaining a position in the heat on Friday moved us up to 10th for the feature and losing a spot dropped us to 17th in Saturday’s main event,” he said. “The further you start back there the tougher it is to contend for top fives and top 10s.”
Kinser gained a trio of positions to end 14th.
He is scheduled to race this Tuesday at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, during the Ohio Logistics Brad Doty Classic and Wednesday through Saturday at Eldora Speedway near Rossburg, Ohio, during the Kings Royal.
“Those are two big events so we hope everything goes to according to plan,” he said. “We need to qualify strong and if we can do that hopefully we can carry some momentum forward each night.”
