Speedway Falls to Rain for the Third Time This Season

Jamaica, VA – Just as competitors were making it on the track for hot laps Mother Nature decided to interrupt the evenings activities with lightning and a heavy downpour that ended S.T.A.R. Kids Night racing activities at Virginia Motor Speedway. Speedway officials will work with the Gloucester S.T.A.R. program to reschedule the night’s activities.

“We tried to get tonight’s events in, but with heavy lightning and a severe thunderstorm warning in affect we felt that the safety of our fans and competitors was paramount, commented track General Manager Clarke Sawyer.
