Welcome to the 20th Annual Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals Presented by Your Life Iowa! 40 late models are here to accumulate as many points possible for Saturday's $50,000 to win finale! The Dirt Trucks are also in action. Plenty of tickets remain for the weekend and the forecast is a good one, so come on out!

Hot laps getting underway at 6:35 p.m.!

Time trials at 7:05 p.m. Two groups of qualifying. Group 1 makes up heats one and two, and Group 2 will comprise heats three and four...

Ryan Gustin is quickest in Group 1 qualifying at 16.959 seconds, about three-tenths off the track record...

Bobby Pierce paces the second group in qualifying at 16.644 seconds, just a hundredth off of Earl Pearson Jr.'s track record from 2008.

Dirt Truck Heat One is on the track...6 laps will be the distance...

Toftee is out ot the early lead over Meiners, and Inman...Inman now by Meinders for the second spot...Jeff Johnson is 4th...Inman is relling in Toftee for the lead...Toftee wins it...

Heat two...Cooney leads Cox, Mitchell, Grafton and Myers...Myers to 4th...Cox is challenging the leader...Mitchell now closing in third...Cox to the lead...Mitchell pulls off...Cox will win it...

Blair leads Chris Simpson, Mcreadie, Chad Simpon and Thornton early...McCreadie to 2nd, Chris Simpson to 3rd, Gustin is now fourth and Chris Simpson is in the last transfer spot...Gustin by Simpson for 3rd...Thornton is on the outside looking in, but is righ there...Blair will win it! 12-lap track record of 3:36.0 breaks Tim Lance's record...

Heat two

Coover will not start...Marlar is out early over Smith, Erb, Hilsabeck and O'Neal...Fast track! Erb to 2nd, Hilsabeck to third as Smith gets into the wall, but keeps it going...Owens to 4th and O'Neal is riding fifth...Shirley is one spot out...O'Neal now back by Owens for 4th...Caution for Hilsabeck, who was running third...5 to go, Marlar leads Erb, Owens, O'Neal, Shirley, B Smith, Sheppard, Lance....Sheppard is by Shirley on the restart for the fifth and final restart...Marlar will win it...

Heat three

Bruening leads early over McCowan, Pierce, Ferguson and Briggs....McCowan to the lead and Pierce into 2nd...Now Ferguson passes Burening for 3rd...Briggs to 4th...Nothdurft is reeling in Bruening for the final transfer....Bruening bangs Briggs and is back into 4th...Pierce takes the lead on lap 6....Alberson trying to reel in Briggs for 5th...Pierce will win it and keep his perfect night going...

Heat four

Robinson leads Troutman, Jnghans, Davenport and Moran...Junghans shoot into 2nd on lap 2...Davenport is by Troutman for 3rd...Wilson is up to 6th, one spot out...Now Harris back by Wilson for 6th...Moran to 4th...Troutman is on the bubble...something breaks for Junghans and he slides into the turn one wall...2 to go, Robinson leads Davenport, Moran, Troutman, Wilson, Harris, Furman, G Smith and Humphrey...Junghans goes pitside...Harris and Wilson side by side for the final transfer....Robinson wins it...

B mains

B's are 15 laps each and take the top two to the feature...Thornton leads early over Marrant, Shirley and Zeitner...Shirley now gets a run on the bottom of turn two and retakes the final transfer spot....Coover is off...6 to go, Marrant comes to a stop in turn three, caution...Thornton leads ..B Smith pulls off as well...Zeitner with a good restart, passing Shirley and threatening Thornton for the lead...Shirley able to sneak back under Zeitner for the final transfer...Thornton has something break and heads to the top of turn one and slows...2 to go, Shirley leads Zeitner, Hilsabeck, Lance, Lawler, Huston...Thornton has a flat right front tire...He will stay in his pit...Hilsabeck now makes a run on the high side to get by Zeitner! Shirley and Hilsabeck move on...

B main two

Petty will not start...Alberson leads Harris, Wilson...Wilson by Harris for 2nd now....G Smith into 3rd...Junghans from the tail to 4th...Junghans now by Harris for 3rd, but there is a big gap to Wilson, over a straightaway...Alberson and Wilson move on...

Dirt Truck Feature

15 laps is the distance...Inman leads Toftee, Cox, Johnson and Meiners...Cox by Toftee for second on lap three....Inman is leaving them behind...great battle for third between Johnson and Toftee...give it to Johnson...Inman wins his first career feature here!

Late Model A main
