AFTER NIGHT TWO, DANNY LASOSKI & DUSTY ZOMER LEAD THE 2015 COX DESIGN IOWA SPEED WEEK POINTS

With his win in the preliminary main on the second night of the Arnold Motor Supply 360-cubic-inch Knoxville Nationals presented by Great Southern Bank on Thursday at Knoxville Raceway, Dusty Zomer of South Dakota has tied Danny Lasoski of Missouri as the early leaders in the 2015 Cox Design & Metal Fabrication Iowa Speed Week point standings. Night number three is Saturday, August 8, with the finale of the Arnold Motor Supply 360 Knoxville Nationals presented by Great Southern Bank, along with a full program of ‘305’ sprint cars. The ‘360’ Nationals are sanctioned by the American Sprint Car Series (ASCS).

The unofficial top sixteen in the 2015 Cox Design Iowa Speed Week points after one night is as follows: 1., Danny Lasoski, Dusty Zomer, 50 points (tied); 3., Aaron Reutzel, Sammy Swindell, 49 points (tied); 5., Casey Fredrichsen, Terry McCarl, 48 points (tied); 7., Brian Brown, Calvin Landis, 47 points (tied); 9., Clint Garner, Kevin Swindell, 46 points (tied); 11., Wayne Johnson, Bronson Maeschen, 45 points (tied); 13., Tony Bruce, Jr., Chad Kemenah, 44 points (tied); 15., Billy Alley, Jac Haudenschild, 43 points (tied).

The Cox Design & Metal Fabrication Iowa Speed Week includes ten points-paying sprint car feature races in ten days, August 6-15, between the Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville and the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa. The top three places pay $2,500, $1,000, and $500, respectively, with the winner declared the Jesse Hockett “Mr. Sprint Car” titlist.
