Edlin Motorsports Update
It's been a long winter here at Edlin Motorsports and work has been progressing on both the #53 Supercup and Street Stock racecars. As you have heard, Lauren was involved in a hard crash on 8/26/2017 on the first lap of the race with hard contact to the turn 4 wall that destroyed the front end of her car.
After a lot of work and help from friends Nakita is ready to go testing on 4/21/2018 weather permitting. The #53 Supercup is about 80% done and should be heading to the paint shop in about another week. We are still waiting for her new seat to arrive from Butlerbuilt in Concord NC Can't say enough about Chris and his people at Butlerbuilt, true professionals.
As of this moment, we at Edlin Motorsports are planning to run a total of 5 races in the Supercup Series for 2018 depending on funding. They are as follows:
6/2/2018 - Midvale Speedway
7/7/2018 - Jennerstown Speedway
7/21/2018 - UMI Motorsports Park (Formerly CNB Raceway Park)
8/25/2018 - Jennerstown Speedway
9/15 2018 - Jennerstown speedway
Lauren will be using this time to get acclimated to the new car as well as learning new setups and driving skills to get her ready to be a Championship contender for the 2019 season. She will also be competing full time in the Edlin Motorsports #53 Street Stock in the Sweeney Rush Asphalt Series at the beautiful Jennerstown Speedway in Somerset County.
Lauren and the Edlin Motorsports Team is also proud to be part of #TeamChampion this season. She entered the contest Search For A Champion during the off season and out of thousands of entries she was chosen as one of the top 30 finalists.
