Jennerstown Speedway Complex May 13 Races Cancelled

(Jennerstown, PA) After days of precipitation, one inch of standing water on the Jennerstown Speedway Complex property has forced the cancellation of the May 13, 2017 racing program. Next Saturday night, May 20, will become “Opening Night 2017,” along with the originally scheduled “Salute To The Armed Forces” tribute, and five division racing.

After a sun-drenched racing practice session just six days prior, hopes were high for a great field of competitors and fans to officially kick off the 2017 season on May 13. But the lack of sunshine late in the week, combined with the deluge of rain leading up to Saturday, rendered the parking areas and certain areas of the pits unusable.

May 20 will also mark the Grand Opening of Jennerstown Speedway Complex’s “Racer’s Pub” offering beer and malt beverages to fans, ages 21 and over. Live entertainment on “The Midway” begins at 4:00pm each Saturday afternoon.
