Jennerstown Speedway Complex Announces RACER’S PUB Grand Opening Saturday
When the gates open at 4:00pm on Saturday, May 13 at the Jennerstown Speedway Complex for the first race of the season, another “Grand Opening” will please the sports fans in attendance. Racer’s Pub, on the vendor midway inside the Speedway Complex, will offer adults (age 21 and over) cold, refreshing beer and malt beverages during every racing event in 2017!
Racer’s Pub, located at the turn four end of the main concession building, will offer race fans a place to socialize before and after the on-track competition. The Pub will offer Miller Lite, Coors Light, Bud Light, Budweiser, Yuengling, Mike’s Hard Lemonade/Black Cherry, and Twisted Tea, which can be carried throughout the Complex. With a live band performing this Saturday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, the Grand Opening of Racer’s Pub will be a memorable moment in the history of Jennerstown Speedway.
With the state license to sell alcoholic beverages on site, policy changes are now mandated for entry into the facility. Coolers, as well as all food and beverage items can no longer be brought inside of the speedway gates by fans.
“The primary focus of the Racer’s Pub addition to the Speedway Complex is to continue to maintain control of alcohol consumption on Speedway grounds,” Promoter Mike Lysakowski stated. “Since our staff will be serving the only alcohol permitted on the property, we can preserve the “Family Friendly” atmosphere that Jennerstown Speedway is so proud of, by ceasing to serve any individual whose behavior could compromise the values of other fans. Clearly, since the cost per drink at Racer’s Pub will be just $3.00, the goal of managing the sale of beer and malt beverages is focused on providing the best experience for all fans in attendance.”
Jennerstown Speedway’s Zach Damico worked with the State of Pennsylvania throughout the licensing procedure, and is quick to point out the fan-friendly pricing.
“We researched the pricing of identical beverages at all other sports and entertainment venues, and we are proud to be offering the products at less than half the retail price of most stadiums, domes, theaters, and fields,” Damico pointed out.
On May 13, Racer’s Pub opens, along with spectator gates, at 4:00pm, with the 2017 “Season Opener” for the five divisions of Stock Car racing taking the green flag at 6:00pm.
