Dover tops MSTS, MPS; Slendy gets first career I-90 Speedway win

Jack Dover took over the lead of Saturday’s main event at I-90 Speedway on the sixth lap of the 25 lap event. He’d go on to get his 31st careers win with the Property Solutions of America Midwest Sprint Touring Series, and fourth of his career with the Dekalb Asgrow Midwest Power Series.

Ryan Bickett led the opening five circuits of the $2,000 to win event. He’d lose the lead to Dover and then slip back to fourth on laps 13 when James Broty and Justin Jacobsma passed the #17B for second and third place.

They’d go on to finish like that just ahead of Gregg Bakker. Bakker was the Autoland Hard Charger coming from tenth on the starting grid. Bickett completed the top five.

Micah Slendy celebrated on top of his Kempf Construction #8 Cressman Sanitation IMCA Sprint Car after taking his first career win at I-90 Speedway. Slendy took over the lead with just three laps to go in the feature event. Elliot Amdahl finished second after starting fifteenth. Taylor Ryan was third after leading the first 16 laps. Jesse Lindberg and Ryan Voss completed the top five.

Cory Yeigh’s bad luck continued in the T&R Contracting Late Model Street Stocks. He was leading the race under caution with two laps to go when mechanical gremlins set in and sent him pitside. On the restart, it was a big slide job from Craig Hanisch to propel him to career 53 at the track, the most in history. Zach Olivier was second with Billy Prouty, Dan Jensen and Brylee Gaugh completing the top five.

Tyler Myers made it to the winners circle for the third time at I-90 Speedway by taking the win in the Great Western Bank USRA B-Modifieds. Myers took the lead from John Kaiser just four laps into the feature. Kaiser took second ahead of Logan Kafka, Nick Barger – who was filling in for Skyelar DeVaney – and Tyler Tesch.

Nick Brady started the night of celebration in style when he jumped on the roof of his #61N to celebrate his first win in the www.LawnSnow.com USRA Hobby Stocks. Todd Uhl was second with hard chargers Dustin Gulbrandson and Tyler Schlumbohm crossing third and fourth. Landon Krohn completed the top five.

I-90 Speedway is back in action this coming weekend, headlined by the www.RepairableVehicles.com Tri-State Late Model Series.
For the Property Solutions of America Midwest Sprint Touring Series, up next is Aug. 1 at Off Road Speedway in Norfolk, Nebraska.
