The Race of Champions Modified Series will open the season with a traditional date at Chemung (N.Y.) Speedrome on Saturday, May 7.

On Friday, June 3, the Series will make it’s first visit to Spencer Speedway in Williamson, N.Y., for a 40-lap $4,000-to-win special.

A new track will make it’s debut on the Series schedule due to the persistence and patience of track promoter, Randy Maggio, Jr., the Series will debut at Lorain County Speedway in Ohio on Saturday, June 11.

A 50-lap $,5000-to-win date on Friday, July 1, will be the next stop on the schedule at Spencer Speedway before the Series returns to the high banks of Holland (N.Y.) International Speedway and the running of the 33rd annual Tribute to Tommy Druar and Tony Jankowiak ‘110’.

The third appearance of the season at Spencer Speedway in Williamson, N.Y., comes on Friday, September 2, with what has now become a marquee and traditional event of the division. It will be a 67-lap race paying $6,000-to-win.

The 72ndt annual Race of Champions 250 will take place on Sunday, September 25, 2022 as part of Presque Isle Downs & Casino Race of Champions Weekend at Lake Erie Speedway (September 23, 24 and 25), which continues to develop as a popular destination and location for the “Granddaddy” of all Modified races. Tickets for the Presque Isle Downs & Casino Race of Champions Weekend are available at www.lakeriespeedway.com.

Other potential dates were removed from the race calendar in an effort to cooperate with other facilities and Series to prevent event conflicts, giving competitors an opportunity to compete in all events without having to make a choice. There were other tracks that had interest in dates, however, conflicting dates prevailed.

The Race of Champions is a sanctioning body presenting Modified and Stock Car racing on asphalt and dirt surfaces throughout the Northeast, with events in New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey with primary marketing partners Hoosier Racing Tire, VP Racing Fuels, Lucas Oil Products, MAVTV, MAVTV Plus, Airport Collision, Rocket Performance, Waddell Communications, Image X Design, Sherwood Racing Wheels, DirtTrackDigest.com and Speed Sport.
