Another warm and humid night greeted the fans and racers at the Greenbush Race Park.

Another warm and humid night greeted the fans and racers at the Greenbush Race Park. With the rainy weather of the previous week, the track was juiced and produced some very fast lap times and action throughout the field during the evenings feature events.

The Wissota Pure stocks took to the green flag with a front row that would make anyone with Polish roots smile as Karen and her son Brandon Puschinksy took to the green flag. As the battle ensued for the top five positions it was soon the second-row starters of Dustin Puffe and Mason Scholin working their way to the front. All the top five cars were able to change their lines as the race went on. Kade Leeper made several attempts to gain the runner up spot and had a good run going. When the field took the checkered flag, it was Dustin Puffe with another feature victory followed closely by Scholin in second. Rounding out the top five was Leeper in third, Brandon Puschinsky, and Keifer Kainz in fifth.

In the Wissota Midwest Modifieds it was Ronnie Novacek and Paul Veert on the front row. The 88 of Veert is a threat to win most nights when he shows up at track and he proved once gain to be a tough contender. At the drop of the green flag, it was 6th place starting Justin Olson using the open lane and a foot full of gas pedal as he motored around the high side of the track. Going from 6th to the lead in the opening lap, he set his sights on the open track in front of his Mopar powered car. Behind him Veert ran in second while Alex Johnson, Taylor Jacobson, were swapping lanes and battling hard for position. When the checkered flag flew it was Justin Olson with a solid win over Blacklance and Veert. Finishing in 4th was Taylor Jacobson and Alex Johnson in 5th.

In the Lightning Sprints it was Evan Yanish from Cavalier, ND on the pole and Dexter Dvergsten to his outside. Yanish pulled out to the early lead with Dvergsten going to his favorite high line to take lead away from Yanish. After a few laps with was Matt Taves who had started in 5th and was using the low line to gain positions and soon found himself challenging for the lead. Dvergsten seeing the car of Taves to his inside moved down several lanes to block the pass and was able to the keep Taves behind him for the win. Finishing in third was Yanish, followed by Hunter Bugge and Emmit Isane in 5th.

The Wissota Street Stock feature event took off with familiar foes squaring off on the front row as Jeremy Gust had the pole with John Halvorson starting on the outside. Gust kept his car to the mid and lower side of the track surprisingly as the race went on. Battling with Colt Germain for position, Braden Braugher began to move his car forward. As Halvorson and Gust battled for the lead, Brauer took to the high side and went around the field on his way to dominant win. Coming home in 2nd was Gust, followed by Halvorson, Germain, and Gary Feeleus in 5th.

In the final feature of the evening, it was the Wissota Modifieds taking to the high banks of the GRP once again. The front row went to work with Ryan Schroeder on the pole and Tim Thomas starting to his outside. Schroder would emerge from the early bundle of cars and begin to pull away with Thomas doing his best to keep him within striking distance. Behind those two cars Mike Tiani, Shawn Teunis, Aaron Holtan, Aaron Blacklance, and Jordan Duray were all trying to move up for position. Around the midway point of the race Dustin Wahl began to charge through the field. After a caution and a couple of restarts, Schoeder, who once had what seemed to be an insurmountable lead, found himself in a battle for the lead and soon second place. Wahl was able to drive his car hard into turn one, and while riding the brakes a little bit, rotate and rocket off the corner on the lower side of the track. Once he made the pass for the lead, Wahl began to pull away. However, with the final restart taking place with only three laps to go, the finish was an interesting one as Wahl made a rare mistake in turn 4 allowing Blacklance to close in but it wasn’t enough as Wahl went on to take the checkers. Behind him, it was Blacklance in second, Schroder in 3rd, Teunis in 4th, and Ryan Johnson in 5th.
