Rain ends Greenbush Race Park evening early
Well what can you say about Mother Nature except that it seems no one wins when she gets involved. This was the case this past Saturday at the Greenbush Race Park.
It was to be a big night for the Wissota Midwest Modifieds with the Duggan Nelson memorial and the Rebel Midwest Mod tour in town. The winner of the feature was to take home a cool $2,000 and there were 51 Midwest Mods signed in ready to take home the big check. But about halfway through the heat races a light rain began to fall. That rain didn't last long and track work was under way about 30 minutes later. Cars were sent out to get the track packed in when a very short, harder rain fell forcing promoter Trapper Sovde to cancel the rest of the evening.
The Dugan Nelson Memorial and Red Headed Rebel Midwest Mod Tour is rescheduled for 7/24/2021 along with the Advantage RV Mod Tour. Should be a great night of Modified racing!!
Please follow us on Facebook at Official Greenbush Race Park or online at http://www.greenbushracepark.com.
Up next at the Park will be the Steffes Street Stock tour. Joining the Streets that night will be the Wissota Modifieds, Midwest Modifieds, Pure Stocks, and POWRi Minn-Kota Lightning Sprints. Pit Gates open at 4:30, Grandstands at 5:30, cutoff for the draw is at 6pm with the green flag dropping at 7pm sharp. We hope to see you at the Park.
