Light rain cancels NLRA show at Greenbush Race Park
Gray heavy skies hung around all day long and produced no rain until about 5:30 when a steady light rain/drizzle forced promoter Jaime Sovde to cancel racing at Greenbush Race Park. But for the NLRA Late Model fans, you'll have two more times to catch them this summer, July 15th and August 26th.
Up next for the fastest 1/4 mile dirt track in Northwestern Minnesota will be a doubleheader weekend with eight classes of cars on Saturday July 1st, and seven classes on Sunday July 2nd. Saturday's racing will feature the only stop this year for the NOSA Sprints along with the Mods, Streets, Midwest Mods, Pure Stocks, Lightning Sprints, 4 Cylinders and the Outlaw Mini Mods. Gates open at 4pm, cutoff for the draw is at 6pm with the racing set to start at 7pm sharp. There will also be a fireworks display approximately 30 minutes after the races to cap off the Saturday night program. Sunday all classes return ( NO NOSA SPRINTS), with gates opening at 3pm, draw cutoff is at 5pm, and the green flag dropping at 6pm sharp. Sunday is also Military appreciation day, with all Military personal getting in free just for showing their military I.D. at the front gate.
