Georgetown Speedway 2020 Season Remains On Hold

Just a reminder, due to state restrictions imposed by
Governor Carney regarding COVID-19, Georgetown Speedways 2020 schedule remains
on hold. This, unfortunately, means we will have to postpone the Deron Rust
Memorial Race scheduled for this Friday, May 15. We will also have an
announcement in the next two weeks regarding our Monster Truck event in
mid-June.

We have teamed with Delaware International Speedways promoter Charlie Cathell to communicate with local and state officials regarding a safe, gradual reopening of both our facilities.  Please understand we are doing our best to get things underway and as seasonal small businesses, both of us want – and need – to get auto racing back on track in Sussex County as soon as possible.

We have heard concerns from Georgetown Speedways season
pass holders. We certainly have not forgotten you and plan to reschedule our
lost events for later in the season. We are fortunate to be able to run deeper
into the fall than our northern neighbors. In the event we are unable to
complete an adequate number of events, we will come up with a contingency plan
to compensate our season pass holders.

Thank you all and stay safe!
