Chris Mackey and Tim Sears Jr. Share Modified Glory On Neivel Precision Plumbing Night

FULTON, NY (July 15, 2024) - Saturday night, fantastic weather set the stage for seven thrilling feature events on Neivel Precision Plumbing night

A pair of features heldover from June 8 would start the night's activity with Chris Mackey taking home a satisfying win in Tracey Road Modified competition and Fulton's Cale Gareau capturing his first ever E & V Energy Novice Sportsman win.

For the fourth time this season, Central Square's Tim Sears Jr. would take home the 35-lap Tracey Road DIRTcar Modified feature event in the regularly scheduled feature later in the night.

Other winners from Neivel Precision Plumbing night included Emmett Waldron (Dot Foods DIRTcar Sportsman), Adam Hunt (Billy Whittaker Cars & Trux Hobby Stocks), James Galarneau (E & V Energy Novice Sportsman), and Aaron Pugh (Dirt Modified Nostalgia Tour).

Robert Gage and Brent Joy led the field to green in the holdover Modified Feature with Gage setting the early pace. Gage, driving the Teddy Starr owned Bicknell, led the first four laps before fourth-starting Mackey worked by him to take the lead.

The 35-lap feature would run caution free throughout, which allowed Mackey to race virtually uncontested out front. Gage and fifth-starting Andrew Ferguson waged a race-long battle for the second spot with Ferguson eventually getting the better end of the battle finishing in the runner-up spot. Gage drove to a solid third place finish, his best in Tracey Road DIRTcar Modified action. Lance Willix and 22nd starting Tim Sears Jr. rounded out the top-5.

Max Hill and Bob Henry Jr. paced the regularly scheduled Tracey Road DIRTcar Modified field to the Comfort Windows Firing Point, with Hill jumping out to the early race lead. Hill would lead the first five laps before the first Milton Cat Caution would come out on lap 6.

The field would restack with Hill and Henry Jr. leading the way on the restart, with Henry edging past Hill to take the spot. Seventh starting Brandon Carvey showed muscle on the restart moving into third. Carvey would clear Hill for second on lap 14 as fifteenth starter Tim Sears Jr. inch closer to the front.

Eyeing in on the top 3, Sears Jr picked off Hill on lap 21 for third, inching closer to the race lead. Laps later, Sears Jr. used a power move on the high side to get past first Carvey, then Henry, and cruise away to a multi-car length lead.

The second and final Milton Cat Caution would fly on lap 29 for Carvey, who's strong run ended spun out in turn 4. The field would stack single file with Sears leading the way, followed by Henry and Larry Wight. As the green flag waved, Sears would pull out once again to a multi-car length lead and cross the finish line uncontested to win his fourth feature of the season.

Nineteenth starter Larry Wight had a strong run finishing second, with seventeenth starter Billy Dunn Crossing in third. Henry, who has struggled for much of the 2024 season, had a satisfying fourth place finish with Ronnie Davis III rounding out the top 5.

In a photo finish, Emmett Waldron took home the 25-lap Dot Foods Sportsman feature win by .007 over Joe Kline. Sixteenth starter Wade Chrisman rounded out the podium, with Jason Parkhurst Jr. following in fourth. David Moyer completed the top 5.

Adam Hunt grabbed his second Billy Whittaker Cars & Trux Hobby Stock feature win of the season. Shawn Doucette would settle for second, with Brian Burkle crossing third. Ronald Hawker and Brandon Barron rounded out the top 5.

James Galarneau captured the second E & V Energy Novice Sportsman feature event of the night, outlasting Kingston Sprague by .012 seconds. Samuel Groom, Coleby Felber, and Ryan Halliday wrapped up the top 5.

Aaron Pugh took home the Dirt Modified Nostalgia Tour feature win. Joe August Jr, Rich Townsend, Ian Gordon, and Mike Nagel Sr. completed the top 5.
