Event #1 – 50-laps
General Daily Schedule:
o 2:00 pm – Pit Gates Open, Transporter Parking, Teams Enter
o 2:15 pm – Inspection and Draw Begins
o 5:30 pm – Draw Concludes
o 5:30 pm – MANDATORY Driver’s Meeting
o 6:00 pm – Timed Hot Laps in assigned groups
o 7:00 pm – Qualifying Heats
Note: *Fulton Speedway will host a home track Sportsman point event on Saturday, April 27 with the Super DIRTcar
Series Modified Highbank Holdup 100. Teams competing in the Friday night Sportsman series show that wish to
compete Saturday may leave their transporter parked in the pit area overnight. The pit area will open early Saturday
for teams to work on their cars. The Saturday event will be a draw for heat starting position.
DIRTcar Licenses:
All drivers must possess a valid 2019 DIRTcar Competitor License. Log onto www.dirtcarmembers.com to apply online
or download a printable form. Licenses will be available for purchase at the DIRTcar Series trailer on race day.
Regionalized DIRTcar Sportsman-Modified Series Format
a. The series is divided into three (3) regions – North, Central and West. The format is similar to a playoff
system, with home track points and regional races seeding drivers into a seven-race championship series in
late September and October.
b. Home Track Bonus points are required and will be awarded to drivers at the completion of Labor Day
Weekend.
c. All Regional Series events are scheduled from April through September 22. At the completion of the regional
series event schedule, all driver points will be converted to bonus points, with 2000 points being awarded to
the regional series champion down to 1800 for the 25th place finisher.
d. Drivers from all three regions will be merged into a single point run-down on September 24.
e. The Fall Championship Challenge will bring all three regions into a seven-race shootout for the overall
championship. Each of these races will race under the 150-point scale and will not be converted to bonus
points.
f. The DIRTcar Sportsman-Modified Series Champion will be the driver that earns the most points from home
track bonus points, regional series bonus points and all points earned in the six event Fall Championship
Challenge Series.
F.A.Q.
a. Drivers may choose their region in which to chase points. It may be a different region than a driver’s home
track.
b. Drivers may chase points in multiple regions in order to earn maximum points. A driver’s best region will be
used when awarding regional bonus points.
c. The final point event will be at Brockville Ontario Speedway on Friday, October 18. The World Short Track
Championship at The DIRT Track at Charlotte, November 1-2 is a non-point series event.

. Each of the three (3) regional champions will be guaranteed starters at Super DIRT Week in Oswego and
also presented a trophy at the year-end DIRTcar banquet.
e. All series event winners across all regions will earn a starting spot in the All-Star Invitational at the World
Short track Championship in Charlotte. These spots are not handed down if the driver already has a spot.
TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS and NOTES
Teams should be familiar with the 2019 DIRTcar Sportsman Rule Book before attending the event.

Be prepared for Mandatory Pre-Tech inspection at Fulton Speedway. Technical Inspection begins on Friday, April 26,
2019 @ 2pm
Inspection to be prepared for:
• Safety and General Inspection
• Sonic Testing of Frame
• Body Inspection
• Helmet - Snell 2010/2015
• Fire Suit – SFI 3.2A/5 Approved
• Head and Neck Restraint - SFI 38.1
• Seat Belts SFI 16.5 or SFI 16.1 within two years from date of manufacture
• Driver’s Compartment – Fuel valve must be marked on/off.
• Full containment seat per rulebook
• Fuel cells must either meet FT3 or SFI 28.3 requirements and/or Include: a metal container, foam, top bolted
fuel valve plate with flop valve or roll over check valve.
• Fuel: d98 only
• Tires: d300, d400, d500
• Tire testing may be done at any time during the event.
• Weight: All cars will scale following timed hot laps, all qualified cars after heats and consolations, and the top5 after the feature event. The track scales are the official scales.
• *Minimum Weights with driver: With steel wheels - 2350 lbs
With aluminum wheels – 2400 lbs
*Weight penalty of 50lbs for cars without fire suppression will begin on
May 15
*** Note: There will be post-race inspection in the designated inspection area at the Series Trailer / Technical Truck
following the completion of Victory Lane Ceremonies.
DIRTcar Sportsman-Modified Championship Series Event Procedural Rules
a. All teams draw for qualifying group in series trailer. Teams will run timed hot laps and heat races within the
group and sub-group assigned.
b. The number of groups will be determined by the series officials based on the total number cars competing in
the event.
c. Timed Hot laps will be three (3) laps.
d. A driver missing a timed hot lap group will receive no time and start tail in their assigned heat.
e. Heat races will be eight (8) laps.
f. Consolations will be ten (10) laps.
g. Top 12 Drivers from qualifying will redraw for starting position in the feature.
h. Thirty (30) cars will start the feature event.
i. Four (4) provisional positions will be available to the first four (4) non-qualifiers from the top-12 in the 2018
