Fulton Speedway Speeding Ahead To Saturday, May 12 Race Night

FULTON, NY – After a fun and successful opening race night for fans and racers this past Saturday, the Fulton Speedway is ready for another night of fast, affordable, family entertainment this Saturday, May 12.

Hitting the ‘Highbanks’ to do battle will be the Tracey Road Equipment DIRTcar 358 Modifieds, SUNY Canton DIRTcar Sportsman, Billy Whittaker Cars & Trux RUSH Late Models and E&V Energy Novice Sportsman on Ehrlich Pest Control night.

The Jr. fans in attendance will be able to have fun as the popular Home Depot Kids Workshop will be on hand in the midway behind grandstands.

Adult grandstand admission is $12 with everyone 18 years and under free. Pit admission is $27 Member - $30 Non-Member. Grandstand opens at 5:00 pm with racing at 7:00 pm.

Quick May 5 opening night review.

A large pit of 124 race cars filed into the Fulton Speedway for race No.1 in the chase to the championship.

The speedway returned to its roots on dirt last Saturday when the 358 Modifieds became the headline division as 27 cars set the field after qualifying for the 35-lap feature.

Tim Sears Jr. the 2017 Modified track champion showed that the change from a big block to a small block engine made no difference to him as he used a late race pass for the popular win.

Just as impressive as Sears' win, was two SUNY Canton Sportsman graduates into the DIRTcar 358 Modifieds in 2018. Glenn Forward and Ron Davis III brought home fourth and fifth place finishes in their first starts.

Once again, the Fulton Speedway SUNY Canton Sportsman didn’t disappoint with 65 cars signing into the pits. Less than one second separated the winner and second place in the three 25-lap features with Brandon Ford, Mike Stanton Jr. and Billy Clark Jr. taking the big wins.

After narrowly missing the 2017 Billy Whittaker Cars & Trux RUSH Late Model championship, Jason Parkhurst dominated opening night taking the 20-lap feature win. The only thing that slowed down Parkhurst last Saturday was caution flags.

In the E&V Energy Novice Sportsman features, it was the young-guns showing the way with Addison Bowman and Quinn Wallis going to victory lane.
