Trenca Welcoming World of Outlaws to Home Turf Saturday at Fulton

Inside Line Promotions – CLAY, N.Y. (Oct. 3, 2017) – It will be a short 20-minute drive for Joe Trenca and the Mucci Motorsports team this weekend.

The only race on the schedule is Saturday at Fulton Speedway in Fulton, N.Y., with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series.

“We ran Fulton a few times this year with some decent runs,” he said. “The thing that’s nice about Fulton is you really don’t know what to expect. Sometimes it’s curbed up and heavy and sometimes it’s really slick. That will make it even for everyone when we show up.”

Trenca has competed at Fulton Speedway four times this year. He kicked off the season with a seventh-place result before ending 18th during his second race. Trenca netted a 10th-place finish in his third race at Fulton Speedway before enduring a DNF during the most recent event. If the trend continues it puts him on track for a great result this weekend.

“We have to go in with an open mind,” he said. “It’s the Outlaws so it’s going to be tough sledding. If we can go in there and get a good time in qualifying and start in the first couple of rows of a heat race we will set ourselves up for a good finish.

“Last year we didn’t make the show. We weren’t very good all night. I feel like racing the 410 more this year, especially at tracks we know, should help us on Saturday and moving forward.”

Trenca’s career-best World of Outlaws result was a 13th-place finish.
