RACING ACTION CONTINUES THIS SATURDAY MAY 21 AT FONDA

Fonda, NY – This coming Saturday, May 21 the “Track of Champions� Fonda Speedway presents a regular show in all divisions including the Sunoco Modifieds, the Swagger Factory Apparel Crate 602 Sportsman, the Montgomery County Office for Aging Inc. Limited Sportsman, the Algonkin Motel Pro Stocks, and the Fonda Fair Four Cylinders.
Also in action will be the Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modified Series who will be presenting their 2021 New York State Stock Car Association (NYSSCA) Awards to the following:
Jon Kuleszo NYSSCA Outstanding Achievement Award in the MVVDMS Modified division.
Bryan Scofield NYSSCA Outstanding Achievement Award in the MVVDMS Antique division.
Georgie and John Constantino NYSSCA Outstanding Dedication Award in the MVVDMS Sportsman division.
Will Reed NYSSCA Outstanding Dedication Award in the MVVDMS Late Model division.
Mike Francisco NYSSCA Outstanding Dedication Award in the MVVDMS Sportsman division.
George Palmer NYSSCA Outstanding Dedication Award in the MVVDMS Mystique division.
The awards above will be handed out at the MVVDMS drivers meeting. Saturday will also be NYSSCA Safety Awards Night for all MVVDMS divisions including the Vintage Antiques, the Vintage Sportsman, the Vintage Modifieds, the Vintage Mystiques, and the Vintage Late Model with monetary awards given out by the NYSSCA organization to the top finisher in each division who is a NYSSCA member.
Last year on May 22, 2021, the winners at Fonda were Mike Mahaney (Sunoco Modifieds), Chad Edwards (Swagger Factory Apparel Crate 602 Sportsman), Jeremy Tyrrell (Montgomery County Office for Aging Inc. Limited Sportsman), Luke Horning (Algonkin Motel Pro Stocks), Ken Hollenback and Slappy White (Fonda Fair Four Cylinders).
“It is so cool to be back here in Fonda’s victory lane,� Mahaney told Mimi Lazzaro after his win. “It has been harder for me to win a regular show here than other times that we have been here, and I have been able to win. We have been struggling here at Fonda and working hard to try to adapt to the track, but I have a great group of guys on my crew and great sponsors that are behind me, and I think we finally got it.�
It's RACE WEEK at the Track of Champions! Racing resumes at Fonda Speedway on Saturday, May 21.

If you are a race fan that gets to the track early, be sure to check out the Fonda Speedway Museum & Hall of Fame which is located on the Fonda Fairgrounds at the rear of the parking area going down towards turn four. The museum is open from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on race days and admission is free!
Since 1953, the “Track of Champions� Fonda Speedway has hosted the best in stock car racing. Under the management of BD Motorsports Media LLC, the speedway will operate weekly on Saturday nights from April through August plus several special events. Fonda Speedway is located on the Montgomery County Fairgrounds off New York State Thruway Exit No. 28 at 21 S. Bridge Street Fonda, NY 12068.
