Craig wins in 11th hour pass in Pro Late 100; Fowler Wins Sportsmen; Burkett Takes Pure Stock 20

 

Matt Craig showed  his  CARS champion experience at the end of the Allen Turner Pro Late 100 eeking out a win from Connor Okrzesik. Okrzesik, from Grand Bay Alabama, the fastest qualifier and leader with 10 to go saw that lead whiz by with the  pass by Craig on the lap 97 restart.

Another Albama driver drew some fan attention as well.  John Bolen from Jasper started 19th, and worked his way through traffic to a 4th place finish.  Charlie Keevan who started 14th, took 3rd.

Defending champion Chris Davidson  was in 3rd spot, but finished 9th after making contact with another car that brought out the lap 97 caution.

It has been as year since Caleb Burkett won a race, and he did it in a a big way Friday.

He out ran the field to capture a victory  in the Lloyd's Glass Pure Stocks. 3 time winner Cameron Leytham watched the race from the pits after his engine blew.
