14 Year Old Dawson Gay makes his Pro Truck Debut at Snowball Derby Week

Dawson Gay is a 14 year old up and coming professional race car driver from Canton, Ga. Dawson will be making his debut in his Pro Truck during Snowball Derby Week at Pensacola, Florida.

The Snowball Derby hosts the largest short track asphalt racing event in the country. This year they are adding the Pro Truck division to their line up. The Pro Truck feature will be held Saturday, December 7th.

Dawson is moving from the Pro Challenge series into the Pro Truck division and is making this big annual event his debut in his Chevrolet Pro Truck. Dawson has partnered with Southern Heat Landscaping & Nursery and will be one of the youngest drivers lining up on the starting grid for this race.

“I am thankful for Southern Heat Landscaping & Nursery for giving me this opportunity to race my first race at such an exciting event,� says Dawson of this opportunity. Dawson’s #81 Pro Truck also promotes Georgia’s Wounded Heroes for this event and for the 2014 race season. The charity supports wounded soldiers, police officers and firemen injured in the line of duty.

For the 2014 race season, Dawson will be racing a Pro Late Model and a Pro Truck at tracks in the Southeast such as 5 Flags Speedway, Gresham Motorsports Park and Mobile Speedway.
