Flashback: Gene Morgan

{nl}      Born in Simpsonville, S.C., Gene Morgan won his first and only Snowball Derby in 1982. In that same year, Morgan participated in the inaugural Nationwide Series race at Daytona International Speedway. In that race, Morgan qualified 6th, but was unable to finish near the top as clutch problems ended his day early.     Morgan was a multi-time track champion throughout the country, including winning the 1982 Track Championship at Greenville-Pickens Speedway where Ralph Earnhardt was a 2 time track champion.
