MIKE LERAAS WINS AT EAST LINCOLN!

Mike Leraas of Winston Salem, NC wheeled his #77 J&J Sprint Car into Victory Lane Saturday night with a much deserved win. It was a great night for the driver who came into the Carolina RaceSaver Sprint Car Series at the beginning of 2012, which was the Series inaugural season. 9 cars came to contest for the win, led by 2012 Series champion Jake McLain. Misfortune led the day though for Jake, Darren Hasty and fast newcomer Tony Grams as all three would unfortunately retire early in the night with mechanical issues.
It was a great night for the new drivers in the Series though. Finishing 2nd was Jason Troutman of Vale, NC followed by Brian Carter of Concord, NC, George Blaney of Harrisburg, NC, Don Ryder of Knoxville, Tenn. and Johnny Petrozelle of Denton, NC.
The Carolina RaceSavers head for Friendship Speedway in Elkin, NC on April 20th for the next race. The Series then heads back to East Lincoln on April 27th. These next 2 races should see the return of a few familiar names plus some new drivers joining in.
