Breazeale Begins Wrisco Winternationals at East Bay Raceway Park
David Breazeale made the trek to East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida) on Monday night piloting the Henderson Motorsports No. 10 Late Model entry for the 44th annual Wrisco Winternationals. Drawing 62 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries, Breazeale recorded an 8th place finish in his heat race transferring him into the B-Main for another shot at the opening night feature. Needing to place in the Top 2, David got caught behind a slowing car while battling for a transfer spot that ended his night early.
The following night, Breazeale followed up a 7th place finish in his heat with a 2nd place finish in his B-Main. Transferring into the Berry Barn Strawberry Dash for another shot at the $5,000-to-win A-Main, David streaked to a 12-lap victory. On Wednesday evening for the third round of the Wrisco Winternationals, David recorded a 6th place finish in his heat transferring him into the B-Main. Sending only the race winner into the $7,000-to-win A-Main, Breazeale fell short with a 5th place finish.
Following the 15th fastest lap in his time trial group on Thursday, Breazeale grabbed the 3rd and final transfer spot in his heat race which positioned him 17th on the starting grid for the feature. Losing four spots in the 40-lapper, David registered a 21st place outing.
On Friday afternoon, David came in 6th in his heat before placing 2nd in his B-Main behind Colton Flinner. Transferring into the Berry Barn Strawberry Dash for another shot at the A-Main, Breazeale logged a 4th place finish.
For the final round of the 44th annual Wrisco Winternationals on Saturday, Breazeale secured his spot into the $12,000-to-win A-Main with a 3rd place finish in his heat. Rolling off 18th, David Breazeale dropped three positions in the 50-lap affair to place 21st.
