Back at It: Delaware International Speedway Hosts Modifieds, Super Late Models July 14

DELMAR, DE – Delaware International Speedway is back in action this Friday, July 14.

The half-mile oval on the First State side of the Delaware-Maryland line hosts Advance Auto Parts NASCAR Weekly Series stock car racing headlined by a $3,000-to-win big-block/small-block Modified main event plus the Stockley Speed & Supply Super Late Models paying $2,500 to the winner in a double-headlined show.

Millman’s NAPA Auto Parts Modifieds continue their chase for the championship racing for 3k, while the Stockley Speed & Supply Super Late Models make their 2023 Delmar debut in a 25-lap main event.

Carson Wright of Georgetown, Del., thrilled the crowd in a last-to-first drive to win his first career Modified event on June 30.

The Stockley Speed & Supply Super Late Model Series visits Georgetown (Del.) Speedway, Potomac Speedway in Budd’s Creek, Md., and Delaware International.

Super Late Models will time trial within their heat-race groups in hot laps. The top-six drivers will redraw for the 25-lap feature.

The tire rule is as follows: Hoosier 1300 or harder; Hoosier NLMT2 or harder; American Racer 44 or harder. Minimum weight is 2,350 lbs., with driver, post-race. AMB transponders will be utilized. One-way radio is 454.000.

Restarts will be double-file in heat races and double-file until five laps remaining in the 25-lap feature.

Trevor Collins leads the Stockley Speed & Supply Super Late Models into Delaware International.

Also on the program: Blue Hen Dispose-All Crate 602 Sportsman, RUSH Late Models, Southern Delaware Vintage Stock Cars, Delaware Super Trucks and Delmarva Chargers.

Gates open at 4:30 p.m. One ticket booth will open at 3 p.m. for early pit admission. Hot laps begin at 6:30 p.m., with racing at 7:15 p.m.

Admission is $25 (Adults), $20 for Seniors (ages 65 and up) & Students (ages 13-17). Kids (ages 9-12) pay $10 and Children 8 and under are FREE.

Pit admission is $40 (Non-Members), $35 (NASCAR Members), $10 Kids (ages 6-12) and $2 for Children (ages 5 and under).
