Delaware International Speedway
Another week of “normalcy�!
We are happy to get back to our previously scheduled events at the US 13 Dragway & Delaware International Speedway, and that schedule continues this week. It should be noted that at the time of this article all Social Distancing Guidelines put into place by the State of Delaware for the weekend of 6/6/2020 will continue to be in place until otherwise noted. Those guidelines can be found at the bottom of this article.
It’s finally time for “Friday Night Lights� at the US 13 Dragway! This Friday we are back for another edition of the IHRA Summit Super Series ET Bracket racing! A new run schedule has been put together for 2020 to allow for racers to get to the track after their work day, and will also allow racers who get there early to have some additional time to practice. Gates will open at 3:30 pm, there will be an open time run session (called by each class) from 4:30-6 pm, followed by one guaranteed final time run and then eliminations. This IHRA/Track points event will include Top ET, Mod ET, OBHF Pro Bike, Street Eliminator, Hot Rod Trophy, Junior Dragsters, and N/T Testing.
On Saturday night the Winged Warriors of the URC Racing Series make their 2020 debut at Delaware International Speedway! The Delaware Dirt Modifieds, RUSH Crate Models, AC Delco PSC Modifieds, and Modified Lites will also join the sprinters for the night of local dirt track racing. Gates will open at 5, drivers meeting via Facebook Live at 6:15, and track run in will start about 6:30. Returning for the second event of the season will be the DIS Live Stream for only $20 for those unable to attend or those feeling unsafe to attend due to COVID-19, link to be provided later in the week. Adult Pits $30 - Youth Pits Ages 7-13 $5 - Child 6 & Under Free - Adult Spectator $20 - Children 13 & Under are FREE with a Paid Adult
As a part of the agreement for opening with the State of Delaware the following social distancing measures are still in place, masks must be worn by all spectators at both facilities, fans must socially distance when entering/exiting any part of the facility with other spectators, and groups of fans who are not of the same household shall be socially distanced by at least 6 feet in all spectator seating areas. This will be enforced by track officials.
