MORE MONEY BEING ADDED TO THE MESSICK FAMILY 40 ON SUNDAY APRIL 2ND
(March 21 Mark Cathell) Two local businesses have step up to the plate to increase in winnings in our Big Block Modified & 602 Sportsman FULL THROTTLE SERIES race #1. Chesapeake Paving & Sealing Inc. of Salisbury, MD and L & J Sheet Metal of Laurel Delaware, we say welcome aboard!
Chesapeake Paving & Sealing Inc. has sponsored every lap of the Messick Family 40 lap Big Block Modified feature. A total of $800 in additional money will be up for grabs!
For our 602 sportsman drivers, L & J Sheet Metal of Laurel, will continue the lap money bonus program. This will add an additional $400 to the total purse payout for the evening.
The lap money for these races will not just be paid only to the leader of each lap. The Full Throttle Series will pay, starting with lap 1, the leader will receive the lap 1 bonus money. On lap 2, the driver in second place will receive the lap money bonus. This will continue on laps 3,4, & 5 accordingly, with the drivers running in those positions, on those laps, picking up the lap bonus money. On lap 6, we will start over again recognizing 1-5 places for the next 5 laps.
Jeff Brown owner of Chesapeake Paving & Sealing Inc. based in Salisbury, MD., is not only sponsoring the Lap Bonus Money package, but is fielding a Big Block Modified for the Full Throttle Series. His driver will be none other than the "DOCTOR" Danny Johnson, of Rochester, NY. The Doctor will be behind the wheel of the Chesapeake Paving, Bicknell, Enders Racing Engines #27J modified. Talk about epic North vs South, here we have the southern owner with the northern driver! Good luck to Team 27J!
Leroy Smith owner of L & J Sheet Metal located in Laurel DE, is no stranger to the racing ranks either. His driver Jordn Justice is the returning 2016 AC Delco 602 Modified champion at the Delaware International Speedway. Justice and Team L & J Sheet Metal, are ready and waiting for race number one of the all new Full Throttle Series in 2017!
The FULL THROTTLE SERIES will kick off on Sunday April 2, the gates open at 4pm, warm ups at 6pm. Spectator admission is $20, Pit admission $35 and children 13 and under admitted free with a paying adult.
