SPARKY WHITE GETS SECOND WIN IN CRATE MODELS
Derek Magee looked strong at the start of the 15-lap Crate Model feature as he quickly opened a lead over last week’s winner Charles Shawver. Sparky White was on the move from his fifth starting spot taking second on lap five. At the halfway sign the top five were Magee, White, Billy Thompson, Tyler Reed and Shawver.
Magee’s hope for a win ended on the next circuit when he slowed coming off the second turn and drifted down the back straight into the pits. White was the new leader with Thompson and Reed battling for second. White would make no mistakes and drive to his second win of the season. Thompson, driving the Wes Clifton No. 72 finished in second with Reed third. Fourth went to Shawver and Robbie Walls, Jr. rounded out the top five. Heats were won by White and Reed.
