Delmar, DE – The best of the best in Late Model racing roll into Delmarva this Thursday night, August 13th for the World of Outlaws Fulton Bank 50. The winner will collect $10,000 for the 50-lap feature with over $30,000 being posted for the event.

Zebulon, Ga.’s Shane Clanton is having a championship season, leading in the point standings with nine wins and 25 top 10 finishes in 29 starts. Former Fulton Bank 50 winner, Josh Richards of Shinnston, W.V. trails Clanton by 174 points coming into Thursday night’s event and has 4 wins and another former winner at DIS, Chub Frank of Bear Lake, Pa. is third with 240 points.

“T Mac Tim McCreadie of Watertown, N.Y. pulled the upset at Delaware just a couple of seasons ago and is in fourth with one win and 334 points and Texas’ Morgan Bagley is fifth with 370.  Last year’s winner, Gregg Satterlee of Indiana, Pa. has one win this season and has qualified for all 14 of the events in which he has entered.

Twelve of the top 13 in points have entered all 29 events so far this season. The only exception is two time Fulton Bank 50 winner, Darryl Lanigan of Union, Ky. who took a three race brake last month to regroup after a slow start to the season.

Several of Delaware’s weekend racers would love to qualify and do battle with the Outlaws. Drivers like Ricky Elliott, Donald Lingo, Jr., Nick Davis, Staci Warrington, Herb Tunis, Amanda Whaley, Andrew Mullins, Austin Hubbard, Ross Robinson, Kerry King and rookie Dylan Evans hope that the home track advantage will be just what they need.

The Late Models will be joined by the Vintage Stock Cars on the program.
