TY SHORT EDGES HIS WAY TO HIS FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON
By Chad Cathell - The night would start out with the Modified Lites taking to the track and Ty Short and James Hill would prove victorious in their respective heats. In their feature it would be Virginia’s James Wood starting on the pole, and would go on to lead a career best 8 laps. Wood would continue to pace the field and stretch out his lead until the caution flew on lap 6.
On the restart Wood would again make no mistakes, however he just didn't have what it took after feeling the pressure, and being taken over by Ty Short on the restart. Short would make the night perfect as he would be sure to make no mistakes and found his way to victory lane for the first time in 2015 and in an Edge Racing Chassis.
