BILLY THOMPSON GETS FIRST CAREER WIN IN CRATE MODELS
Billy Thompson took the lead at the start of the 15-lap Crate Model feature with T.J. Williams holding on to second. Zac Weller got by Williams on lap five just as the caution flew for a spin. On the restart Alessa Young went to work on Williams making the pass on lap seven. Matt Hill, who started ninth, was now up to fifth Hill got by Williams for fourth with six to go.
Weller stayed within striking distance but Thompson would make no mistakes as he drove to his first checkered in the division. Weller held off the hard charging Hill for second with Young fourth and Tyler Reed finishing in fifth. Heats were won by Hill and Reed.
