MARK WILLIAMS CAPTURES TONY STEELE MEMORIAL ON FINAL LAP
A good field of Vintage Stock Cars turned out for the Tony Steele Memorial on Saturday night. Veteran modified pilot, Freddy Brightbill of Sinking Springs, Pa. jumped out front in the low groove with Mark Williams challenging on the high side. The lead battle continued at the halfway sign with Dwayne Heck closing in in third and C.J. Schirmer riding in fourth. The battle was interrupted on lap nine when Don Davidson got around. On the restart things heated with Williams and Brightbill swapping the lead back and forth. On the final lap Williams got by Brightbill coming off the second turn and drove to the win. Heck was able to get under Brightbill in the final turn to take second with Brightbill settling for third. First Sportsman was Snookie Vent, Jr. who started last and finished seventh.
