ELLIOTT CONTINUES ON A ROLL IN SUPER LATES
Joe Warren in his small block Ford powered Super Late Model would lead the first six laps of the caution free, 20-lap feature. Andrew Mullins got by Amanda Whaley and slowly closed on Warren while Ricky Elliott shot from seventh to third by lap two.
Mullins edged into the lead on lap seven and one lap later Elliott got by Warren for second. Elliott moved on top at the halfway sign as Nick Davis and Donald Lingo, Jr. ran in fourth and fifth. While Elliott was building a comfortable lead, Lingo, Jr. was able to get by Davis for fourth with five to go. Elliott cruised to his ninth win of the year with Mullins second and Warren posting a personal best in third. Fourth went to Lingo, Jr. and Davis rounded out the top five. Heats were won by Mullins and Lingo, Jr.
