RICKY ELLIOTT WINS FALL CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIER

The Super Late Model feature was a 30-lap qualifier for the Delaware State Dirt Track Championships. Herb Tunis took full advantage of his pole starting position to lead in the early going while Amanda Whaley went wheel to wheel with Joe Warren for second. Ricky Elliott quickly marched from his eight starting spot into third behind Whaley by lap six.

The one and only caution of the event was out at this point when Elliott got together with Whaley causing both cars to check up. Kerry King who was running in fourth spun to avoid the out of shape pair. On the restart Elliott got by Whaley for second and one lap later drove by Tunis for the lead.

Donald Lingo, Jr was running in the third spot by halfway and with eight laps to go got by Tunis for second. With the long stretch of green flag racing, Elliott had checked out on the field and had built a half track advantage. Elliott would cruise to his fourth straight victory and his seventh of the year. Lingo, Jr. finished in second with Andrew Mullins third. Tunis ended a great run in fourth and Whaley rounded out the top five. Heats were won by Elliott and Mullins.
