JIMMY WILLS SCORES 3RD WIN IN MOD LITES
It took three attempts to get the first lap of the 15-lap Mod Lite feature into the record books. Jimmy Wills originally lined up in sixth but after the yellows was starting in third. At the drop of the green he shot to the top and into the lead. He would never be headed the remainder of the distance.
James Hill was able to keep the pressure on Wills throughout the first half of the distance. A yellow with four laps to go would put Hill back on rear bumper of Wills but Wills was not to be denied his third win of the season. Hill finished in second with Brandon Sturgis turning in his best run of the year in third and Ryan Dryden ended a solid run in fourth. Aaron VanVorst put on his best drive of the season getting as high as third before settling for fifth at the checkered. Heats were won by Wills and Dryden.
