DWAYNE HECK WINS VINTAGE OPENER
Rob Schirmer led the first three laps of the 12-lap Vintage Stock Car feature before Dwayne Heck shot into the lead. Heck pulled away from the field while Rob Schirmer, Scott Calhoun, C.J. Schirmer and Mark Williams battled in the top five.
Kelly Putz got around in the third turn with two to go to bring out the only caution and erase Heck’s lead. Heck pulled away on the restart and took the win. Calhoun got by Rob Schirmer on the restart and finished in second with Rob Schirmer hold on to third. Fourth went to Mark Williams and C.J. Schirmer rounded out the top five. Barry Adkins finished first sportsman in sixth.
