RAY GULLIVER GETS FIRST WIN OF THE YEAR IN MOD LITES

In the 15-lap Mod Lite feature the six car inversion draw put Ray Gulliver on the pole. That was the break that Guliver needed as he took full advantage of the starting spot. It would not be an easy race for him however.

Jason Musser would chase from second until James Hill garnered the spot. Hill kept the pressure on until the halfway point when Jimmy Wills took over in second. Wills was cutting down Gulliver’s lead when he got into Ryan Dryden while working lapped traffic. Dryden got around bringing out the yellow with three laps to go.

On the restart Hill got by Wills to take back second but Gulliver held off the pair coming off the final turn to post his first win of the season and the second of his career. Hill finished in the second spot with Wills, who set fast time in qualifying settling for third. Fourth went to Brandon Dennis and Jason Musser rounded out the top five.
