Gartner Jr Goes Back-to-Back at Dacotah Speedway
Dylan Sandberg, Chris Welk Jr an John Gartner Jr led the field to the green flag in a three wide start during the Hobby Stock feature. Sandberg led the first lap before Gartner Jr flew by along the high side to take the lead on lap two, bringing Brent Vetter with him. While Gartner Jr was quick along the high side of the track, Vetter was fast along the guardrail. They raced side by side for the lead but cautions took away Vetter’s momentum. On the final restart of the race, Vetter dove low going into corners one and two but Gartner Jr held strong on the high side. As the laps wound down, they continued to battle for the win. When the checkered flag waved, John Gartner Jr crossed the finish line first for the second time this year. Brent Vetter finished a close second while Josh Roehrich finished third. Dylan Sandberg held off Chris Welk at the finish line to finish fourth.
