County Line Raceway Set to Open The 2014 Season With Two National Events In One Weekend

For avid basketball fans ‘March Madness’ may symbolize the greatest time of the year as a field of 64 hopefuls hope to win the ultimate prize as National Champion. For the County Line Crazies and fans of dirt track racing this March is bringing a “madness� of the dirt modified variety. The stars and cars of the Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour as well as an expected fifty plus contenders from all of the United States are putting the final touches on their machines in hopes of claiming the record setting $10,000 dollar prize set back in November by the promoters of County Line Raceway. Each working diligently through the winter with the same aspirations of their court playing counterparts, to be the “Nationals Champion� including NASCAR limited participant David Stremme of South Bend, IN.
Furthermore, a full slate of Friday night action is planned for fans in attendance with gates opening at 5pm and racing getting underway at 7pm. Friday nights racing activities include a full program of practice, heat racing, last chance qualifiers, and two 25lap twin $1,000 to win main events for the first appearance in track history for the nation’s fast growing dirt modified tour the Renegades of Dirt. As well, a pair of open practice sessions for the Fastrak Late Models in attendance tuning up for Saturday’s Nationals will be mixed in throughout the evening. General admission for Friday night is set at just $15 for adults, 65+ $10, Kids 11-15 $5, 10 & under FREE. Pit admission for the weekend is set at $60 for adults, 10 & under just $25. Pit admission for Friday only is set at $25 for adults and 10 & under is only $10.
Then on Saturday night the weekend culminates with a history making evening on tap. For the first time in County Line Raceway history the Fastrak Late Model National Touring division enters the “Little Track Making Big Noise� to co-headline with the Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour who will also be paying a tour and track record setting $10,000 to win. The monumental top prize for the division will be the largest single day payout in the Eastern United States in 2014. The “National� event that has caught the entire nations attention will be a can’t miss for ‘Tarheel State’ race fans featuring a full evening of modified and Late Model action beginning with qualifying scheduled for 6:15pm and heat racing promptly at 7pm. In addition to the Renegades of Dirt $10,000 to win A-Main a $750 to win “Race of the States� is on tap for twenty of the evenings highest finishing non-qualifiers from each state represented from throughout the country. The Fastrak National Late Model Series is also set to pay a rich $3,000 dollar award to the 40lap main event winner of the inaugural Fastrak event at the Elm City oval. General admission for Saturday’s weekend finale is set at just $25 for adults, 65+ $20, Kids 11-15 $10, 10 & under FREE. Pit admission for the history making Saturday night is set at just $40 for adults and 10 & under is only $20.  Racers and fans are also reminded that if needed a rain date for Saturday night will be on Sunday with gates opening at noon and racing getting underway at 2pm.
“As of now the weather looks warm and sunny, however in the event of rain we will do all we can to get the show in which also includes utilizing Sunday afternoon to ensure that any traveling fans and drivers can rest assured and feel good about the travel knowing that the NC Nationals WILL be held this week� stated Steve Summerlin.
In addition to the great on track action fans and participants will have the chance to win some extra prizes as part of a week long “SOCIAL MEDIA SUPERSTAR� campaign leading up to and throughout the ‘North Carolina Nationals’. Starting on Monday the Renegades of Dirt will be running a week long “Social Superstar� contest selecting a fan and three drivers whom are deemed to be the most socially active on Facebook and Twitter about the “North Carolina Modified Nationals�, the Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour, and XSAN the official LIVE PPV broadcaster of the Renegades of Dirt and the North Carolina Nationals. “SOCIAL MEDIA SUPERSTAR� contest criteria that will be judged will be sharing XSAN advertisements, event ads, tour statuses, track statuses, commenting, using the #renegadesofdirt, checking in at the County Line Raceway, and general helping to trend the HUGE weekend of action. Also on the criteria will be the drivers attempt at keeping the fan updated regularly throughout the week leading up to the event as well as throughout the entire weekend. The winning fan will win a FREE 2014 Tour T-Shirt and a FREE pass to the Renegades of Dirt “Monster Modified Weekend� of events on April 18th and 19th or the live broadcast of the events on XSAN. The winning driver will receive a FREE pass to the “Let It Ride 55� as well as a 2014 Tour T-Shirt, and $100 dollars cash. The second and third place drivers will each win a FREE pass to the Renegades of Dirt event of their choice as well as a certificate packet valued at $150 worth of FREE parts and racing products. County Line Raceway is a 3/8 mile clay oval located at 6953 Stagecoach Road in Elm City, N.C. The track has been in operation since May 21st, 1988.
