Kyle Miller Gets His Second NWWT 2015 Win At CGS

The Northwest Wingless Tour returned to Cottage Grove Speedway on Saturday August 22nd. It would be the first time since late June the Non-Wing 360 Sprints had been to the historic 1/4-mile clay oval. Eighteen drivers were on hand representing the states of Oregon, Washington, as well as Massachusetts.
A tight battle for the lead would erupt on the opening lap but would result in Kyle Miller grabbing the position at the stripe. Miller, from Eugene, would construct a massive lead over the rest of the field after a nineteen lap green flag run.
Kyle Miller would be briefly held up in lapped traffic a couple of times but only for a few moments. He would leave just four cars on the lead lap by the end of the race in his EMK Graphics/Automotive Sheetmetal/Machined For Speed By Craig Jensen #10 XXX. It would mark the second win of the season for Miller with the NWWT in 2015 and the fifteenth occasion he has won at CGS with the tour.
Thurston's Ricky Ashley would place second in his Clark Printing/Todd's Auto Body/BC Motorsports/Team 85 #85 entry followed by the Maxline Custom Cases/Summerfield Golf & Country Club/Speedmart Inc. #23 XXX of Rob Lindsey from Sherwood in third. Tim Alberding of Salem was fourth in the Alberding Racing #52 Maxim and was the last car on the lead lap while Auburn, Washington's Jonathan Jorgenson would finish fifth in his Jorgenson Manufacturing/Shareway Industries #2J J&J.
Kyle Miller was fast time and the trophy dash winner. Ricky Ashley, Jonathan Jorgenson, and Miler were heat race winners. It would be a clean sweep of the whole night by Kyle Miller.
The Northwest Wingless Tour will take a few weeks off before they participate in Championship Night on Saturday September 12th. That event will be held at Cottage Grove Speedway. For the latest news and information regarding the NWWT log on to wingless.nwextremeseries.com.
