Outlaws Return for Unfinished Business at Beaver Dam

Beaver Dam, WI (July 7th, 2024) - The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series returns to Beaver Dam Raceway this coming Wednesday, July 10th, to finish what they started a month sooner and crown a Jim “JB” Boyd Memorial champion. $20,000 is on the line for one driver to take home.

The big question is who will lead the way? Sheldon Haudenschild has been on a tear at Beaver Dam Raceway in recent years, picking up wins in the last five of six races at Beaver Dam Raceway. Giovanni Scelzi has been the only driver to dethrone Haudenschild at the Dam in recent years, could Gio be a threat for this upcoming race?

Eyes will turn to points leader David Gravel, who enters into the race with a 58-point lead over Fargo, North Dakota’s Donny Schatz.

Logan Schuchart comes into the race the most recent winner with the Outlaws, picking up his first win in 2024 in the Shark Racing #1S at Cedar Lake Speedway.

Will local favorite Bill Balog be a factor? The “North Pole Nightmare” picked up his one and only World of Outlaws win in 2016 at Beaver Dam Raceway. Balog is yet to pick up a win on the tour in 2024 but that hasn’t been for a lack of trying.

Will a local hot shoe come through and challenge for a win? Beaver Dam native Scotty Neitzel finished thirteenth in the first race for the outlaws this year, up +10 positions and the hard-charger for the night. Scotty Thiel is always a threat, or could a dark horse such as Danny Schlafer, Mike Reinke, or Preston Ruh upset some people and write their own history?

All questions will be answered in just a few days' time when the Outlaws invade Beaver Dam once again. The Midwest Legends Dirt Series Presented by Legends.Direct are also on the cards ready to do battle.

The pit gates will open at 2:00pm with the grandstands opening at 4:00pm. On track action begins at 6:30pm with hot laps and qualifying, and racing is set to commence at 7:30pm.
