(Warrensburg, Missouri) It appears the heat of summer has arrived early and with it comes the heated battles for the Central Missouri Speedway championships in all divisions. This Saturday weekly racing action continues with B-Mods, POWRi Super Stocks, Pure Stocks, and POWRi Midwest Mods competing throughout the night during preliminary heat race action followed by main events.
Current points leaders include Terry Schultz in B-Mods. Schultz picked up the victory during last week’s main event and holds on to a 48-point advantage over Stephen Clancy. Despite a rough outing last week, Blaine Ewing of Green Ridge, Missouri holds on to a 33-point lead over Aaron Poe in POWRi Super Stock action. Defending champion Spencer Reiff now holds a 46-point advantage ahead of Leroy Morrison in the Pure Stock division standings, while Overland Park, Kansas driver Shawn Burns has a 94-point lead on Dustin Dennison in POWRi Midwest Mods action. Saturday Timeline: Pit gates opening at 4:30, grandstands at 5, pill draw cutoff for drivers 6:15 (no passing points awarded if late check-in), pit meeting 6:30, hot laps at 7, and racing at 7:30 or after hot laps. Admission Details: Adults $15, Active-Duty Military and Senior Citizens aged 65 to 74 $12, Kids 6 to 12 years old $6, five and under free, seniors 75 and older and individuals permanently confined to a wheelchair are free in the grandstands. All pit passes are $35 regardless of age.
The 22nd Annual Tom Wilson Memorial is just under three weeks away and CMS has an exciting weekend of special event racing planned for the weekend.
