(Warrensburg, Missouri) After a successful special-event last Saturday, Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) returns to weekly racing this weekend with full race programs for B-Mods, POWRi Super Stocks, Pure Stocks, and POWRi Midwest (E) Mods. Note, Mo-Kan and Midwest Modz style E-Mods are welcome to run with the POWRi Midwest Mods at CMS but mixing of rules is not permitted.

Prior to racing on the track Saturday, race fans have a chance to meet a few of the drivers who will represent CMS at the First Anniversary Celebration of the Hy-Vee in Warrensburg. They Hy-Vee store will have several events going on, which includes race cars on display.

After three events, Terry Schultz leads Sturgis Streeter in the B-Mod points while Blaine Ewing leads Bobby Ruff in POWRi Super Stock action. Leroy Morrison hods down the top spot in Pure Stocks followed by Spencer Reiff. The POWRi Midwest Mod point leader is Shawn Burns ahead of Jess Fitzpatrick. Mention of driver name does not guarantee race-night appearance.

CMS Saturdays Timeline: Pit gates opening at 4:30, grandstands at 5, pill draw cutoff for drivers 6:15 (no passing points awarded if late check-in), pit meeting 6:30, hot laps at 7, and racing at 7:30 or after hot laps. The running order for Saturday is: Midwest (E) Mods, Pure Stocks, POWRi Super Stocks, and B-Mods.

Admission Details: Adults $15, Active-Duty Military and Senior Citizens aged 65 to 74 $12, Kids 6 to 12 years old $6, five and under free, seniors 75 and older and individuals permanently confined to a wheelchair are free in the grandstands. All pit passes are $35 regardless of age.

Drivers may print the registration form from the CMS website at www.centralmissourispeedway.net, from here, select DRIVERS and then TRACK REGISTRATION FORM. For POWRi Super Stock and Midwestern Mods (E-Mods) drivers, the POWRi national points fun registration is found at www.powri.com/rules. CMS registration forms should be brought to the track completed and filled out. Registration for the season is $60 per class driver competes in.

Central Missouri Speedway is currently seeking employees for the concession’s areas on both sides of the track. Applicants may apply in person on Saturday at the track or by visiting the track’s Facebook page and completing an online application form or by calling Susan Walls at 816-229-1338, no calls after 8 p.m. please.

Drivers are highly encouraged to thoroughly read and understand the track’s general rules and guidelines, which are located at www.centralmissourispeedway.net/images/pdfs/2022GeneralRules.pdf, this especially important for new drivers to CMS who are not used to the fast-paced manner in which Earl Walls and the CMS crew enforce rules and run their race program.
