(Warrensburg, Missouri) Due to saturated grounds and cool temperatures, ALL weekend track activities at Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) are cancelled for Saturday, April 9, 2022. This includes both the planned Car Show and the Practice Session.
Track Promoter Earl Walls stated, "We know drivers and fans were looking forward to the events tomorrow, but conditions are simply not conducive to running the events as planned. Instead, we will open the Pit Gates early next week and will offer a pre-race practice session for drivers hoping to dial their cars in before the season officially begins." CMS will officially open the pit gates at 2 p.m. with a planned hour-long practice session. After which, the CMS track maintenance crew will entirely re-work the track to ensure things are ready for the official start of the 2022 season later that night.
For next Saturday's season opener, pits will open for those not wishing to or able to participate in the practice session at 4:30, grandstands at 5, pill draw cutoff for drivers 6:15, pit meeting 6:30, hot laps at 7, and racing at 7:30.
